[TenTec] Balanced Tuners revisited

Can someone describe the TT inductors?  Where are they used?   The term
"stepped" inductors intrigued me.  Not sure what these beasts might be.  Are
we talking tapped torroids?

Are they available as standalone replacement parts?   Price?
