[TenTec] Major dead fix after upgrade

I just did the new upgrade and everything was fine until I hit user-1  every 
thing locked up and the screen went blank. ( panic )  shut the rig off and 
powered it up holding in the lock button for vfo-b .    rig booted up ok but 
the screen had some garbage on it.  turned the rig off and back on and 
everything seems fine now.
thanks for the tip John.
can we use the user-1 & 2  now or should we wait for a new upgrade?
