Hi George,
I'm glad you enjoy your Century 22.
I also have a Century 22 and the tuning does take some getting used to. I'm
used to the single signal of the superhet myself. However, there's a certain
clarity and clearness of a direct conversion signal and I still enjoy using
the Century 22, even though I spend more time on my Jupiter and Omni-C. The
Century 22 was the ultimate in direct conversion before Ten-Tec abandoned it
for the superhet in later models.
