Act in haste, repent at leisure. After writing the ad in the reflector, I tuned up and waited to check into a net at noon, and have discovered a problem. When I switch the amp from standby to operate, I experience a slight dimming in the lights for the meters, there is a slight show of grid voltage, and my receive is cut off. This happens whether the PTT cable is hooked up or not, and I have noticed that this condition does not show while the unit is warming up.( I can toggle between the standby and operate mode while it is warming up, and the receive is not lost. My initial check was into a dummy load, so I didn't notice the problem.

Thank you Dennis, KT5D for the kind words, the amp does have the Hi-Lo HV switch.

 Hopefully this is not an insurmountable problem. Any suggestions?
