For the money, the T-T transverter kits are probably a good way to 
get into some of the upper bands.  

Spec-wise, the Elecraft are better boxes overall, with a much lower 
inherent receive NF (<1 dB vs almost 8 dB),  a +17 dBM front end, 
and higher output power (20-25 W vs. 8 W).  Of course there is a 
substantial price difference ...

Whether the Elecraft is worth the additional money depends on 
whether you need the performance.  If all you are going to do is join 
in to some local 6M roundtables, the T-T should e more than 
adequate.
