Yes, after the heterodyne conversion from 9 MHz to 6.3 MHz, this is true.

No this is not correct. The standard 2.4 kHz filter is always in line 
for both TX and RX, except in FM mode. The narrow option 9 MHz IF filter 
is cascaded WITH the 2.4 kHz filter, NOT instead of it.
