Bob, Have you tried a master reset after the 1.372 update?  This might take 
care of the atrifact on the dispaly and  the probem with the s meter.  Also, 
a Ram Clear might be the next thing to try.  Your 's is the first  I have 
heard with the s-meter problem. The dead spots are common with this update, 
but does not seem to bother me that much.

The improved RF gain and Qsk are worth sticking with the new version for me, 
but Ten Tec will send you the old version if you want it.  Just call and ask 
and they will email it to you.      Toby W4CAK
