Eric,

Your story is very interesting!

I am another Orion user who has mixed feelings about a
rig that has a little too much "personality", despite
some excellent specs. Fortunately for me, the Orion
does what I need it to do so far, and the frustrating
stuff is secondary.

Good luck with the Yaesu. Me, I have thought about
trading "up" (or is it "sideways"?) to an Icom
756proIII, but I don't know if I am willing to rebuild
my station and software around a new rig. Some people
just want to be hams, and others enjoy tracking down
RFI and firmware bugs. I am somewhere in the middle.

All 73s for the holidays.
