I should have added that there are some other possible causes of key 
clicks, such as PLL settling time where one or more oscillators get 
switched between RX mode frequencies and TX mode frequencies. This kind 
of click is perhaps more accurately called chirp. If the rig switches 
between TX and RX modes on every dit and dah (ie. it is operating in QSK 
mode) then this chirp will occur at the same time as keying envelope 
caused clicks occur, the beginning and possibly the end of dits and 
dahs. AND it will occur at any WPM keying speed.
