I have been given to understand that while there is not a
schedule for planned Jupiter software updates that TenTec
*may* occasionally make minor updates available as time
and resources permit.

They consider the Jupiter a *mature* product, one not in need
of software enhancement.

There is also a very active secondary market writing apps
that interface with the Jupiter, though they must do so
without access to the Jupiter OS source code.

While I would love to see software updates (and hardware mods)
for the Jupiter I understand the business reasons for leaving
it as-is ... it is a pretty competitive rig at the price.
