I hadn't tried that before, but it appears they are indeed coupled, at 
least in the most current FW release.  Either RIT ought to be fixed 
at 10 Hz (probably not the best answer), have it's own step size 
adjustment ( a good answer), or be logically linked to STEP size in 
some reasonable fashion (maybe, depending).

Probably worth a note to ditsnbits at tentec.com.  I'd call the current 
situation a buggie ...
