[TenTec] Old Vs. New Technology

When a very strong station comes on frequency, it takes a while for the
audio derived AGC to take hold.  Result is it makes you feel like your ears
drums just exploded or a bomb went off in your head <gr>.

There was some one in the Baltimore (?) area that had a good fix - also
fixed a few minor problms.
My recollection is that TT never really acknowleged the problem or offered a
fix.
