[TenTec] Omni 6+ Input vs Output power?

Is it common for the DC input amps, or Ic, to vary from 15 to 22+ to obtain 100 watts output into 50 ohms when changing bands?
 
With my Omni 6, I was not able to get 100W output on 3 bands before my former 962 supply would trip off at 20A.  Have since replaced it with a beefier more stable supply with an accurate dc ammeter.  The Ic scale runs approx. 1-2 A higher than the supply dc.  
 
Has anyone had a problem running CW at over 20A DC input with the Omni 6?  The bands where the efficiency goes to pot (Idc exceeds 20A for 100W rf out) are 160, 30, and 15.  I know this agrees with at least one other Omni 6 user.  Any more?
