Hey Richy,

Nice shot of you relaxing on QRZ.COM. You know quality. Your comments
comparing the TS 850 say it all. If I had a guess, it would be that you've
dealt with the public in some venue like 'hospitality' or 'food and
beverage' in order to cultivate the poignance necessary to utter such
elegances. Well, we may have that in common. I'm not an electronics engineer
but I've been a ham since 13. 1961.

In your experience with the Omni VI+ you mentioned it was noisier than the
straight VI. My rig is the O6/opt1 and Ive not had anywhere near the
birdies/noise that some have pointed to. I have to think these are all
treatable. Easily. But even with the worst case scenario, its like comparing
Jim Beam to Jack Daniels. Smooth being the resultant overwhelming
characteristic.

It seems that most folks worry about the bottle the TT rigs come in rather
than the contents. Knob wobble and Radio Shack quality accessory jewelry
have nothing to do with what's inside. Sad that so many can't get passed
that. Moreover after a few shots of hamming, I could care less what the babe
looks like, cuz she's so nice on the ears. And the Sideband audio is
sublime! Unmodified! But hey, I must be in love.

What's more, I dont get a headache that day or the next. So, is it a
classic? It's an all American classic.
