[TenTec] ALC Indicator

I have two 963s and whilst electrically they seem to work just fine
running my Orions, I do find them acoustically rather noisy. Like Rick,
I notice the cooling fans switch on frequently, even in receive. A
particular problem is that the fans don't just generate a high wind
noise but also emit a tone which can sound like a carrier.
I suspect I will seek out a couple of quieter fan replacements.
