Ok,  now several minutes later (0605UTC),  and going back to the
antenna sharing configuration with the Orion and RX-340,
the noise on the 40 meter frequency has dropped the
"expected" 3 dB to -115dBm,  so QED?? 

That is "exactly" a 3 dB drop from the -112 dBm when
the entire noise signal was entering only the -340 rcvr.

All other parameters exactly the same.
