Just discovered with Version 1.369 the RIT/XIT can be set to the remote
knob.

Menu/Other/Remote Pod Enc (at bottom of menu) set to RIT/XIT .  Up midway on
the menu to CW (or SSB) Rate to Slow (better for me).  And at top of menu
set Remote Pod F1 to RIT/XIT Clr.

Neat and thanks Scott.  This is a clear case that Ten-Tec folks listened to
the cult!
