Connect the negative lead on the DVM to the center pin of the +12V RCA
connector on the Omni. Connect the positive lead on the DVM to the +12V RCA
connector on the power supply. Key the rig. The voltage read is the
difference or voltage drop considering connectors, fuse and such between the
PSU and the radio.
Do you have a hard ground between the PSU ground lug and the radio ground
lug? If not you should.

of the Omni. Also fix a place to measure the voltage between the ps and
Omni power jack. When you key down the rig, check for voltage drop
difference between the two points. Should be no greater than half a volt.
If it is, you are loosing energy at the molex connector, fuse holder/fuse,
and possibly the power switch contacts. Prime suspect is the molex
connector where there is minimal metal on the pins and socket, especially
for running continuous power in digital modes. LMK what you discover.
