 >Bill, this was my first attempt at an update. I tried twice before recalling
a comment about turning off the "stop on errors". That allowed the process
to complete and it showed the 9408 lines had been transferred. I discovered
several settings had not saved in "user 1", as you indicate. Am I reading
your procedure correctly, though, in that you allow the "stop on errors"? If
yours works that way, I wonder what I am doing wrong?

You're not doing anything wrong if it worked Troy! I'm using a 1999
vintage Win 98 computer and the difference could have to do with that. I
believe there are a number of computer-dependent issues in doing the updates,
so just remember what worked for you and do the same next time. I recall
some have had to go into Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Ports
 > Communications Port (COM 1) > Properties > Port Settings and set
57600 8 N 1 Hardware to get their computer to communicate with Orion. Once
you have a winning combination, just remember to repeat it next time.
Fortunately Paul at Ten-Tec can help walk anyone through these problems and
it will be easier next time.
