[TenTec] Orion BW resets when freq command sent

Is there any way to "freeze" the bandwidth?
When I set BW down to 500, then command the radio to a new frequency
(thru Call window, or thru packet spot)
 ((yes, I'm assisted - I need all the help I can get))
the BW is always restored to 1070.

And were is that default of 1070 set?
