Eric,
        It works for me, but, curiously, I get a nice "buzz" on
frequencies above 28.100 MHz from the fan when I do this.  I think it's
my Y-cable, but I still haven't remembered to replace it to be sure
(probably a reflection on how often 10m is active these days.) 
Otherwise, it's just fine.
