Yes Roy,  I am using tx en and tx out for using the keying loop circuit.  I want to thank all who responded to my query about the popping,  I have been give much to thnk about and try. 

John, N0KHQ, reminded me that I had just put up a loop antenna about the same time as the problem showed up, so that is another thing to check out.
