I mounted one on the front of a small utility box which I had painted in a 
color which (almost) matches my Ten-Tec rig.  I have color coded binding posts 
on the rear (for 13.8 V attachment), and the switched, current protected line 
exits the box (through a grommet) to  the Amp plug on the back of the radio.  A 
screw hole in the side of the box allows me to attach it to the side of the 
radio using one of the screws which holds the clamshell (lower half) case in 
place.  All of the metal work was done with a 3/8" drill and standard bits.  

I'm no machinist and the whole process (except for painting and drying time) 
took me about an hour to create.
