[TenTec] Hercules 444 amp

I had one. It had a temperature controlled fan speed. Sounded like a 727
jet when cool and a 747 in reverse when it got warm.

It sure smelled bad when it caught fire.

I saw a notice a couple of days at TenTec saying that they have declared the
Hercules line unrepairable. Too bad as it was a nice amp.

I have a 444 amp that has sat for several years. I Powered it up a few days
ago and it shows about 60 volts on the meter, and has the over voltage
protection tripped.

Has anyone that has or had one of these had that problem? And if so what did
you find? A call to T T just raised my phone bill and got no help. Garland
used to work on these and he has got smart and retired. In the past he had
helped me out several times, very nice guy. No one else there seems to know
anything about these amps.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks 73
