I think it depends on the noise. It does very well with car ignition noise
type impulses but for the most part it does little to others.

With all this talk about not wanting to disable the Omni 6 noise blanker ...
I have to say that my Omni 6 noise blanker doesn't seem to do anything at
all and I have no Inrad filter. My radio just came back from some repairs
and a new alignment at TT so I doubt there is anything wrong with it. Don't
get me wrong, I'm very happy with the Omni 6, it's just that I've never seen
any effects when I turn the noise blanker knob. Maybe I don't know how to
use the TT NB, but the noise blanker on my FT-1000 sure makes a difference.
Anybody out there had any positive results from the NB on the Omni 6? I'd
sure like to hear about it.
