My Omni V has both a CW offset LEVEL and PITCH control. The sidetone pitch
IS adjustable.
A few differences between the rigs include: the Omni V does
not have an RIT - the Omni VI does. The Omni V has a MONITOR output to
monitor transmitted audio, I believe the Omni VI does not.
The best work around for the "non-standard" computer interface is the CPU
change developed by Carl N4PY. This non-factory option gives the Omni V.9 a
1200 baud C-IV serial port that emulates an Icom 761. It also provides a
BUNCH of other features. Additional information on this mod is available
at:

I am not aware of any other versions of the Omni V. No doubt the factory
CPU and some of the on-board components may have been tweaked during the
production run but I'm not aware of anything major.
Like the earlier Omni VI, the Omni V has no SMT components and working on
the rig is pretty easy and straight forward. Also, the manual is superb and,
unlike my Scout and Argo V manuals, it includes complete parts layout
diagrams and PC board foils for all boards. (I have no idea why T-T
discontinued this feature especially in light of the more complex and
densely packed PC boards on these later rigs?)
I hope this helps.

Rick

The OmniV was a first attempt at microprocessor controlled radio. It was
only
partially successful. Nonstandard computer interface, but a pretty good CW
radio, etc. Fixed offset/sidetone at 600 Hz.
