Your plans look good. The wider filters have nothing to do with the carrier 
null however should you desire to check it, hook a dummy load to the Omni 
VI, go to one of the ssb modes, key the microphone and listen for carrier in 
another receiver. You will no doubt hear some. The null adjustments are on 
the TX audio board. R3 and R4. This board is on the top, rear, left hand 
side, back under the speaker bracket. You can easily reach the pots but you 
need a tiny screwdriver. Adjust both for minimum carrier. They over react to 
the slightest twitch so just do the best you can. The PBT control is easy to 
adjust as you discovered.
