[TenTec] [OT] FCC says CW dead?

I think it means what it say, code will no longer be required for any 
USA ham license. The other frightening thing is their 'new' 
definition of the amateur radio service. You notice that it is no 
longer considered an emergency communication vehicle. Therefore 
opening the possibility of almost any commercial reason for grabbing 
ham radio frequencies away from us 'hobbiest'.

But this has all been a long coming stance...certainly make it so 
much easier for the radio manufacturers to no longer be concerned 
about CW performance in any of their new radios.

Can you see any difference between a ham license and the CB lincense? 
Oh yea, the dumbed down test!!
