Iam sure we all know that I mean software improvements for the
Jupiter. They came 1-2-3 for a while ,fixed many
of the problems and added features... then every thing stopped. I use
n4py software with my Jupiter and of course
that offered things that were not available from tentec. Iam saying
there are issues with the Jupiter that could be
corrected with a new firmware download....... there has been none for
over a year. Since this was touted to be a SWD radio
one would expect to see the radio evlove slowly over its life , as the
ORION has done.Ive used tentec all my ham life and until
they don't build what I want ,will continue to do so. I just feel they
dropped the ball on the Jupiter or feel that the radio has reached
the level that they can not provide further upgrades. We all know that
there are cost/result ratios which make further enhansments
not worth the cost or effort. If that be the case TT should stop
advertizing the rig as SWD, with constant inprovements comming
down the pike. There are none to be had.
Iam happy with my Jupiter,VI and my 6n2. one of these days a Orion II.

Dale, you are mixing up the meaning of the word "support" with
"features
enhancement".
Of course Ten-Tec still supports the Jupiter.
The beauty of the SDR is that the features enhancement doesn't have to
come
from the original manufacturer. Look what all Karl (N4PY) has done!

Ive been following the posts on the new II and the release of v 2.0
of the software, thats all well and good and I say kudos to tentec
for moving foward. BUT.... what about all of us Jupiter owners. Tentec
made the same promise to US about continued support
of the rig....they dropped us COLD.... no support for over a year and
they don't even mention any future upgrades for the rig.
I sure hope this does not repeat itself , with the Orion I. I believe
most Jupiter owners feel they were sold a bill of goods, regarding
future up grades. This was a SDR rig,was it not?
Again ,Good luck to tentec on their new baby ,but they MUST remember
thay have other children, still in the family.
thanks for reading
