I think the cw will be around for a long time to come, its a pride thing  for 
hams.  I think the 2003 conference dropped the requirement for code and  it 
will pass sooner or later.  I know several countries have opend up HF  with out 
CW and there has not been any drastic disasters.  so we shall see  what we 
shall see.
 
remember real hams know code.
