I have worked on many radios.
I have never seen better board layouts.
On a pre OMNI V+ you can get to everything.
Try doing that on radios of the same vintage.
On some of the older Kenwoods you could spend an hour of bench time just to  
get to a board.
Drake was good until the TR-7 and Collins was on par with Ten Tec.
I do not want to see this company go away.
I spoke with Bill Frost, John Andrews, and Tom Holmes, before Drake  said 
they were out of the Ham arena and it was a sad day.
I hope Ten Tec stays with us for many years and I hope that V.2 works well  
in the Orion.
They will need to suck it up and support those that have invested in that  
radio.
Those folks deserve it and I think Ten Tec will do all they can to keep  them 
as loyal customers.
