[TenTec] Astron RS-35M and Omni VI

My RS-35M was old and worn when I bought it over 10 years ago, and it's
still going strong.  Lots of RF in the shack, but no problem for the
Astron (and the negative post has never been tied to the chassis).  Power
switch is still going strong too.  I avoid the powering on/off problem by
leaving it on ALL THE TIME except when I'm going on vacation for a week
or more.  I got into the habit when I had the Omni VI+ to keep the
crystal oven on, but even now with my Orion, I just leave the power
supply on all the time.  I've seen no ill effects from this practice (so
far!).

P.S.  I have found that crowbar works on lightning pulses - it crowbarred
twice this past week.  The first time in the 10 years I've owned it! 
They were REALLY close strikes.
