Yes, Beppe contact TT service.  I had my rig in for service on some  
small items and they replaced my screen which was showing the same  
symptoms as yours.  The new screen doesn't darken and just appears  
"cleaner" overall.  From the beginning I've preferred the white on  
black option anyway--it is easier on my eyes.  This way the darkening  
never showed with the contrast at about 55% but was very apparent  
with black on white.
