I don't know about any updates but Ten Tec will still go through the unit for you if you send it in. I also use a 544 as a primary unit with the 104 mic and get good reports. I'm in the Chicago area and have worked MD, FL, TX & MN to name a few. I only wish it had the WARC bands.
