[TenTec] FSK Receiving Problem

Played in EA RTTY contest with Orion II. I don't remember having a problem
with the Bandwidth below 300 Hz. Operating on 40m and 20m with mode - FSK.
 
Receiving problem:  Whenever 300 Hz roofing filter auto'd kick-in the volume
and reading of RTTY signals dropped significantly. When I increased
Bandwidth above 300 Hz volume and readability increased measurably.
 
Never had that problem before with prior version.
