[TenTec] PTO help?

I would like to find someone within, say, an hour's drive of Boston or its western suburbs who would teach me hands-on to do PTO rebuilds and adjustments, or do them for barter or a reasonable fee.  
   
  I have a Century 21 and an Omni D with external VFO, each of which needs PTO adjustment or replacement.  The rig that I use now is a Corsair II, and it works fine, but I expect it will need adjustment sooner or later.  
   
  I've seen this nice website http://www.io.com/%7En5fc/c21_pto.htm on PTO rebuilds but, frankly, my fine motor skills leave something to be desired and I have no dedicated workshop space, meaning I can't really leave a project and then come back to it later.  I would like to learn hands-on from somebody who can help me limit my mistakes or else save myself the time and anxiety altogether.  I realize that Ten Tec will do this, but the shipping charges add up, especially when compared to a cheap rig like the C21.
