[TenTec] LDG / Tentec Tuner for Orion

Mark, You bring up a good point. I have wondered the same thing myself.
Why doesn't TT sell aftermarket tuners for those who have changed their
minds and let the owners roll their own so to speak. The LDG tuner is quite
simple to install and works well enough. Just one solder connection and
three cable plug ins. I have the LDG tuner in my Orion.

I have done the V2 mod, and believe me there is no comparison to the tuner
installation which is very simple.

The TT tuner has about a 10 percent better tuning range than the LDG, but
then you have 200 memories plus the startup restore feature in the LDG which
makes it nice.

AS for the TT tuner, I am not sure what is involved in installing one but
it sounds a bit more complicated than installing the LDG.

We've been missing you on the net. Toby W4CAK
