I guess we will have to "watch this space" to know for sure.
But release 2.x for the Orion could be the next release.
If there is anything unstable about that software, I am sure T-T will fix it with a subsequent release -- as many as needed --
just like they continue to fix hardware that is quite old. They will support it -- they will not enhance it -- unless the software developed for
the Orion 2 can be easily compiled and run on the computer now on the original Orion.
I expect this will not always be possible -- the computers are different. They did not put a new computer into the Orion 2 just for better
display. It will have other uses.
If you were running a small company and had a fixed budget - how would you spend the budget? I think my first priority would be on
being sure my existing product is stable (original Orion) THEN spend money on features that would sell more NEW product. The original
Orion will likely be a very stable product with 2.x software.
This perspective is based on 30 years working for a computer company. But I was an engineer type -- not a high level executive.
