[TenTec] OMNI VI RECEIVE AUDIO MOD?

Can anyone give me details of this mod please, the Inrad site says it 
improves the RX SSB audio.  Does it do anything for the TX SSB signal?  I'm 
getting reports of muffled TX audio.
