Great radio with the right software. I have had two. Still have one.

Callsign Software and N4PY Software. Both great.

Make sure you take all the RF precautions because they have  good chance of 
that with serial cables, speaker cables to PC, etc.

You will like the receiver. I think they are very smooth and lack in 
harshness like many radios.

Dont take the cover off !  Unless you want to say *%$#@ where is the radio 
:)
