[TenTec] orion with 2.055 firmware -- headphones?

I use an Icom SP-20, which, arguably, is one of the best general purpose ham 
speakers ever made.

I can turn the AF gain all the way up, max it out, and have no distortion, 
other than to my ear drums, at all.

Sooooo, try another speaker and see if that'll help.
