Off center fed antennas are particularly poor about putting RF down the outside of the
coax. That's because the two halves of the antenna being different lengths are coupled
to the feed line unequally. Going to a centerfed antenna (with tuner for all bands will
still work on all bands) can help that RF coupling.
Getting more than 20 feet from the radiating part of the antenna can help, I'm sure that
grounding helps, and so the owner's manual should be suggesting grounding.
