[TenTec] Orion II audio settings w/Heil 5

The Orion II, and  Ten-Tec are new to me.  I'm using a Heil headset with the DX element (5).  Suggestions on settings?

I find that it does not take much mic gain to make the ALC flash (but it's hard to tell what increases beyond that, say 10 or 12, are doing).  I find the pushing the SP to 6 or 7 leads to clearer gain on the analog wattmeter (and maybe some distortion).  Have had tx bandwidth at 3000, audio at +5)

Curious what folks have found best, by whatever means they've verified.  Especially if using that same Heil mic element.
