[TenTec] SCOUT RF power pot mod?

I, too, have thought of the bracket idea for adding an RF gain pot. At
one time I rewired the mic gain pot for this but I took the mod out,
because I didn't want a non-standard Scout.

Why use an external pot at all? Just epoxy a shaft extension on to the
existing pot and put a miniature knob on the bottom where the shaft
extension comes through the hole.

A pot could be placed on the back without drilling, but this would
require giving up the FWD/REF switch or one of the key jacks.
