I sent  one of the KeySpan adapters to the deveoloper of some TCL-based   
software and it turns out that TCL doesn't even recognize the  KeySpan  
adapter ports, period.  Other USB to Serial Port  adapters work fine with  
the TCL-based  software.



I have a friend with a ft1000mp and he had a devil of a time with his  serial 
cable for psk 31, apparently a standard 9 pin has an extra wire in it  that 
grounds something that shouldn't be grounded, so he ended up building a 3  wire 
cable which worked well.
