priced)  Califone 2924AV (www.califone.com) .
Stereo: (same attributes as above -- except price) AKG K271 Studio 
(www.sweetwater.com among others).

The Califone headphones are the bulletproof ones you used in high school 
language lab.  They're amazingly good and astoundingly economical.

The AKG is a closed back (eliminating feedback) broadcast studio model 
that costs $200.00, but is worth it if you're into super-critical 
monitoring.  They're a bit of overkill for ham use, however and may let 
you hear more than you want to :-) .
