Don:

I have a small lot (50 X 100 ft., with all antennas in the back yard).
For 80 meters I use a full size dipole, but it is bent like a inverted V
and angled, actually more like an inverted U to fit in the yard. It
isn't a good DX antenna but it works great for traffic nets and NVIS
skip. The apex is only about 25 feet high. For 40 meters and up, I use a
loop. Both antennas are much better than the G5RV that I was using. My
original G5RV was rigged as an inverted V and I subsequently read that
the G5RV works best when set up as a straight dipole. My antennas aren't
very high, but they do fit in the back yard.
