[TenTec] I need help in repairing my Argosy II

I'd like to thank you all friends that replied to my message giving me very good suggestions.
  I reached the conclusion that I have to retrofit the PTO; a complete PTO is not longer available with Ten-Tec, but they still have a repairing kit.

I suspect this is due to the VFO (probably it have to be cleaned). Someone experienced a similar problem and can gime me an help?
