[TenTec] Digi Keyer and Orion II

I have spent the better part of the day trying to get my new USB DigiKeyer
to communicate with my O2.  Have not been able to get HRD or WriteLog to
connect successfully.  Was able to get ACLog to read frequency and mode OK,
so it is working after a fashion. Anyone been down this road?  Any
suggestions? Please, off list, as I receive the digest.

Please help me understand why someone would slave a radio 

what is the advantage ???

For Sale:

TenTec 299 Voice synthesized frequency read out

This unit is used with the TenTec Omni 546 series A, B, C,
some Argonauts, Corsair, and others.  It will work with 
other rigs (such as the Triton), with minor mods to get 
the right connections.

The 299 is used primarily for blind hams who can not read the
frequency readout on the transceiver.  By pushing a button, it
will "speak" the frequency (to tenth of a KHz).  A front panel
switch permits selection of the entire frequency, or you can
eliminate the MHz, and give only the KHz.  There is also a
volume control on the front panel.

Of course it can also be used to give a "voice digital readout"
to any rig with an analog dial, or used as a normal frequency 
counter.

This particular unit is in great shape electrically.  Cosmetically
it looks very nice, but has some very minor wear.  

$ 190 plus shipping from Florida.
