Ron I HOPE the files are incomplete. I say this because the files for the
Orion 565 and Orion II 566 are quite different. Using the data on the
RFSquared site, I have placed a file with a comparison on my website:

    http://www3.telus.net/ve7tk/Orion_565_566.pdf

For example, are the additional instructions available to both rigs? Both
rigs have improved QSK but it's not in the 566 file. Obviously, some of the
changes made MAY only be pertinent to a specific rig but additional
clarification sure would help.

73,

Rick

There are some early revision notes on the download website, but the full
scoop is in a .doc file in the download called Orion History.doc. Here is
the section on the newest updates since 2.037j:

routine.

Modified AGC for AM RX because it was causing distortion.

Added on-screen BAND REGISTER indicator (A,B,C,D)

Modified TGC for AM transmit to correct carrier level control.

Added FM mic limiter to prevent over-deviation.

Increased BW limit to 9khz for improved am rx

Added ULcc<cr> code to the serial command structure to control the line-out
selection and level.

Added UL? Query to the serial command set,

Fixed the sub S-Meter display and SQL operation that caused meter to
disappear.

Scaled FM and AM audio levels to get more output on speaker and rear panel
outputs.

Version 2.038j

Corrected bug that caused VOX to turn off on a band change.

Version 2.038k

Correct bug that caused band register 'A' to be overwritten when any band
change was made.
